I have had a ton of friends interested in Paleo so I thought it wouldn’t hurt to make up a list of Meat, Veggie, Spices, Nuts, Oils and Kitchen tools that are Must-Have’s to help start a successful Paleo Journey!

Proteins: Always go Grass-fed, Nitrate Free, Sugar Free,Uncured, and Wild Caught for Fish.

  • Ground beef ( I go through this so fast when I have a busy week, easiest thing to throw in a crockpot or for a bake to have meals for the week!)
  • Bacon
  • Chicken
  • All kinds of Steaks
  • Chuck Roasts
  • Pork Shoulder (Also great for lots of crockpot recipes)

  • Smoked Salmon (Great addition of protein and Omegas for all meals, just be sure to read the ingredients!)
  • A friend recently introduced me to Aidells Sausage and Hot dogs at Costco, nitrate free and friggen delish flavors!

Vegetables: Go Local as much as you can, they have the best tasting and best deals.

  • Cauliflower (Purple and Green too if you can find it!)
  • Spinach (Always a must have in my fridge at all times, cheap way to always get your greens it at any meal and goes with everything…even smoothies…!)
  • Carrots
  • Broccoli
  • Brussel Sprouts, and Brussel Shreds!(mhmm add some bacon and apples to that…Friggen Delish)
  • Celery
  • Sweet Potatoes
  • Yams
  • Spaghetti Squash
  • Kale (Awesome as chips for guac dipping!)

    I love that you note to be careful of addiction to macadamia nuts! HAAHAH I cant even have them in my house or I will eat a whole pound in a matter of days!!! Talk about NOT healthy eating… =) This is a GREAT list! Thank you for putting it together! =) Your recipes all look amazing so far! My Non Paleo family will even love them!

    Agave syrup is higher in fructose than high fructose corn syrup. Stick with the honey.

    You mention “Pumpkin Puree” as an ingredient in some of your recipes. Do you have a recipe for the “puree”?
